Conversion to the new standards; don’t panic – yet!

Time moves on and we are over halfway through the period to convert to the 2015 versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Although we have scheduled all of our clients for conversion in plenty of time, we are aware that there are many organisations who to date have done nothing about conversion.

That is all well and good. And of course there is still plenty of time as the deadline is September 2018. However, it seems likely that there will be a last minute rush and it is entirely possible that the Certification Bodies will struggle to cope with the people leaving it late. So we would strongly advise anyone who needs to go through the conversion process to get on with it.

As we have said in previous blogs it is not the most difficult task in the world, but it does need some time and planning and obviously it’s much easier for consultants like us who are doing this all the time than someone picking up the standard for the first time. And, like the Certification Bodies, we will be busy next year and if you leave it too late you could find yourselves with no one to help!
